Get to know Sai

Sairam Ramaswamy, fondly addressed as Sai firmly believes in the power of habit and the chain of habits transformed him into leading an ideal lifestyle.

Sai is a financial services professional who has worked in senior positions in HDFC Bank, IL&FS, Kotak, HSBC, Religare and Edelweiss. His passion for work helped him cope with the demanding schedule that the corporate world threw at him. The proverbial work-life balance was fine but the realization that one’s mental and physical health is just as, if not more, important as any career. This nudged Sai to ponder about how he was going to address the issue. His journey into the world of fitness commenced thus. Over the years he evolved into a passionate fitness enthusiast, a triathlete, a nutrition specialist and an avid trekker.

He took up fitness in 2012 (roughly about 10 years ago.) and has been looking back since then. Yes you read it right. He does look back to see his journey and to reflect what more he can tweak to make it better. He also resonates to watch his friends and family having the same struggle to stay fit and healthy and thus lends a helping hand. Why does he do this? Well, that’s Sai for you. Having realized the importance of leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle, he leaves no stone unturned to spread his learning.

With Sai one is either involved in an intellectual conversation about capital markets or having fun cycling in the wee hours or on top of the world trekking in the Himalayas.

Looking at Sai’s fitness levels one’s jaw will drop and can instantly get motivated to want to look and feel good. Whilst a lot more people’s eyes pop wide open when they see yummy, healthy salad or smoothie recipes that he shares with his community.

His passion for helping people to lead a healthy lifestyle nudged him to say goodbye to his successful corporate career to establish “Versatude” a health and wellness company focused on improving the quality of life of individuals.

Ramu Lalitha Charitable Trust was conceptualised in 2007 by Sairam Ramaswamy in memory of his parents.

Versatude is a multi-faceted health and fitness company focused on virtual wellness program for individuals and group. The primary goal of Versatude is to make people stronger and improve quality of life. The programs of Versatude provides an unique and energising experience which guarantees effective and efficient use of exercise time to achieve one’s goals. Being from a corporate background Sai understands the challenges faced by corporate professionals in striking that perfect work life balance. Versatude was born with an aim to provide that ideal platform for individuals and groups to achieve their health goals.

Versatude helps to anchor you to smart, simple and sustainable behaviours when it comes to eating, training , sleep and living stress free.  Wellness program encompasses live strength training sessions through virtual platform led by our coaches. The training programs are designed considering individual’s training/injury history, skill levels and goals.

Mitahara is an initiative by Sairam Ramaswamy to bust the myth that dieting and starving are synonymous. Mitahara guides you to not only eat healthy but also teaches you to enjoy and appreciate every morsel of your food. Mitahara advocates moderate eating and helps you embark a behavioural change when it comes to food habits. “Journey of thousands miles begins with a single step”. Similarly one small habit/step towards healthy eating would pave way for a big behavioural change is the mantra of Mitahara.

Sustainable eating habits closely aligned with our cultural eating is key to maintain a healthy and balanced life style. Restrictive list of foods, exotic food options are not only sustainable but may also result in you craving more for such food types.

Madras Mustangs is a mixed ability group that was formed to facilitate a central point for those interested in running, cycling and working out together. Their wide spectrum of members range from first time riders/runners to endurance cyclists to long distance runners to road racing enthusiasts.
Their focal point is on getting in more people to run or ride the fitness wave and reap the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. The prerequisite to be a part of this salubrious group is only your willingness to choose to live healthier.

Ramu Lalitha Charitable Trust was conceptualised in 2007 by Sairam Ramaswamy in memory of his parents. It is an underlying belief of the Trust that there is no exercise better for the heart than scouting and giving a helping hand to our fellow brethren. Through the actions of our parents, we have realised that though we all have our own storms to weather, reaching out and helping others in the midst of all this is what life is all about.

The Trust functions on this priceless belief. The things we take for granted are probably someone’s prayers. Charity doesn’t have to be flamboyant. One small act of kindness and compassion is all it takes. The Trust, energised by the support of like-minded friends and volunteers, has been identifying and helping some sections of our society. We started off by reaching out to some orphanages. Netaji Mercy Home and Roshini Homes are two such institutions we have had the privilege of serving.

I started training with Sai and team since March 2022. Being a yoga practitioner and a teacher, flexibility is a non issue. I wanted to add strength training to make my practice even better.
